The best place for your Op-ed, period.
LTTOP takes op-ed submissions on any topic, really, any. From anyone, ya, anyone. If you are passionate about it, have knowledge in it or personal experience with it. Please share it. Remember your words are powerful, so please include annotations for all assertions and attributions made in your submission. We do also ask that when presenting data, statistics, or quotes be sure that you site your sources and provide reference for your evidence. At the big news outlets, published op-ed pieces typically run from 400 to 1,200 words, but at LTTOP submissions of any length within reason will be thoroughly read and unbiasedly considered. We love a wordy read. The status quo (also with the big names) is that no jargon be used in an op-ed. No jargon? We say please jargon. It shows us you know where you are coming from. Just not in excess and please explain yourself to your reader.
Keep in mind for our Rebuttals section, that current articles are more, well, current. However, we will always consider a rebuttal to an older article as well.
All submissions must be, as a matter of security, embedded in the text of an email, not as an attachment. Unfortunately we cannot accept or read a submission that is in an attachment. Please include your name and a short biography, as well as a valid return e-mail address. Although we will publish submissions under an anonymous author we do require that you state your name and information in your submission e-mail. We will publish your work anonymously if you so request. Submit Op-eds to submissions@letterstotheoped.com. Submit Rebuttals to rebuttals@letterstotheoped.com
Important Note: Remember that all Submissions must follow our rules and guidelines. Which can be found on M's Rules of Order page.
Thank you for your time and thank you for your interest in LTTOP. All submissions will receive response within 14 days.
